Training of Doctors on NEWARS Guideline and Web-SMS Integrated Reporting System at Gelephu

Royal Centre for Disease Control has conducted three days training workshop on National Early Warning, Alert and Response Surveillance (NEWARS) Guideline and Web-SMS Integrated Reporting System for Doctors from 25th March 2019. FluView-ILI & SARI Surveillance Report for Week 7, 2019

Influenza activity remains normal in the country. Influenza AH1N1(pdm09) continues to co-circulate predominantly since week 1 of 2019 (Table 1). No flu outbreak reported for the week. The most affected age group had been 30 – 64 years among ILI and SARI laboratory-confirmed influenza cases. No influenza-associated SARI death reported. Fluview Week 7 2019

Monthly Epidemiology Report for February 2019

Two cases of Acute Encephalitis were reported from JDWNRH. All were in the age group of 1-11 months. Eight suspected measles cases were reported; none were tested positive for measles and rubella.
