The most predominant virus type found in the sentinel sites in the week 49 was Influenza B. Overall proportion of Influenza-like-illness (ILI) and Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI) were 20/ 1000 outpatient visits and 6/ 100 hospitalized patients respectively and the highest cases of ILI was reported at Samdrup Jongkhar hospital while SARI at Samtse hospital.
