Quality medicines makes an essential contribution towards the effective management and treatment of illnesses. As per the World Health Organization (WHO) news release in 2017 “1 in 10 medical products in developing countries is substandard or falsified” which indicated that people are taking medicines that fail to treat or prevent disease or can cause serious illness or even death and also augments the waste of government resources. Substandard, spurious, falsely labelled, falsified and counterfeit medical products is a global public health concern.
