RCDC has conducted 5 days(21st to 25th December, 2015) Modular Training on AFB Sputum Microscopy for New Laboratory Technicians and refresher training for laboratory performing below average as per EQA reports.

The objective of this Modular Training on AFB Sputum Microscopy was to train new lab technicians posted at district hospital laboratories.
This involves modular based theory & hands on training on sample collection, smear preparation, reagent preparation, ZN staining technique and Microscopy reporting for AFB. The training also covered presentation on infectious sample shipment, Tuberculosis Information Surveillance System (TBISS) and user registration for online reporting.
The focus was also on conducting refresher training for lab technicians’ from district hospital who were found to be performing low as per the EQA reports.
