FluView_ILI & SARI Surveillance Report for Week 33, 2015

The incidence of Influenza-like-illness (ILI) and Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI) for the week was 28/1000 outpatient visits and 5/100 hospitalized patients respectively. The highest incidence for ILI cases were reported from Paro hospital and SARI cases from Mongar Hospitals. ILI cases were mostly observed among age group of 5-14 years while SARI cases were observed among 0-1 years. From 31 ILI samples received and tested by Real-Time RT-PCR, the positivity rate was 3.23%.
